Successfully completing and obtaining a Diploma of Commerce providing immediate membership to the Australian Society of Accountants (AASA), George was later automatically advanced to the status of Certified Practising Accountant.

George obtained the basis of his accounting knowledge from near 30 years in industry; starting from factory level accounting and progressing through to senior positions in Government associated companies in aircraft engineering through private manufacturing entities in chemicals, food preparation, livestock and construction. George further varied his accounting base by working in sales orientated companies involved with general merchandise, materials handling and plastics.

In 1989 he was afforded the opportunity to change to Taxation; since then he has again progressed through his profession from Administration Manager to Senior Manager, commencing his own personal practice of Aubrey Paton & Associates in 2001, and amalgamating that practice with that of John Clarke in November 2004.

Aubrey Paton and Associates is now the cornerstone from which he and John have built and are building a progressive and competent tax and accounting practice aimed at assisting and advising both individual and business clients.
